In celebration of Spiritual Shouter Baptist Liberation Day, the Port of Spain Adult Library will host the lecture, “Our Journey, Our Faith” on Thursday 29 March 2012 at the Audio Visual Room of the National Library Building, 10:00 am.
Lectures will be delivered by Queen Mother Nedd and Teacher Kathian Joseph, both members of the Spiritual Baptist Faith Incorporated, followed by cultural dance and song performances. This programme is primarily designed for students between the ages 11 to 14 from schools in Port of Spain and environs.
“Our Journey, Our Faith” is aimed at educating and broadening the understanding of the significance, history and achievements associated with the Spiritual Shouter Baptist Liberation holiday. In keeping with Trinidad and Tobago’s fiftieth anniversary of independence, the lectures will chronicle the history and the journey of the Faith throughout the years.
From March 19 to 23 the public can view an exhibition featuring the Spiritual Baptist Faith Incorporated in the Port of Spain Adult Library, first floor, National Library.
