August 29, 2023
NALIS is deeply saddened at the passing of Mr. Ulric Warner who was the Chairman of the Third and Fourth Appointed Boards of NALIS for the periods July 2005 to July 2008 and July 2008 to July 2011, respectively.
Under Mr. Warner’s steady leadership, NALIS boasted of many achievements. Among them, the establishment of the employee Pension Plan which took effect from October 1, 2009 and collaboration with the Adult Literacy Tutors Association (ALTA) to provide effective literacy instruction to students within primary and secondary school who have literacy challenges. He was keen on preserving Trinidad and Tobago’s Heritage information and thus was instrumental in the acquisition of the Wayne Berkeley Collection.
NALIS offers sincere condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of the late Ulric Warner. May be rest in peace.
