NALIS recently held a Rapso lecture/demonstration at the NALIS/ YTC Library facility at Youth Training Centre, Arouca in commemoration of RAPSO month. Lutalo Masimba (Brother Resistance), Karega Mandela, Omari Ashby and Shawn Bailey facilitated the programme. They shared their talents with twenty four lads, some of whom were committed as well as some on remand at the YTC. Four officers and two civilian members of staff where on hand to witness this entertaining, informative and inspiring programme.

In addition to performing samples of their work, the facilitators also gave a brief overview of the history and significance of RAPSO. During the session some of the young lads performed their own work. The quality displayed moved producers Omari and Shawn to offer their services free of charge. A follow up visit has been planned to record some of the works of the young lads.
