The new board consists of a team of nine dedicated professionals: seven from the National Library and Information System Authority (NALIS), and one each from the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago and The University of the West Indies (UWI).

LATT’s Programme Director, Serah Weekes is from the Central Bank and Public Relations Officer, Niala Dwarika-Bhagat, from UWI.
LATT continues to play a crucial role in shaping the library and information landscape in Trinidad and Tobago and the wider Caribbean and supporting the advancement of library services to ensure equitable access to all information resources.
Its vision is to provide leadership in the library and information field, establish professional standards, and advocate for the interests of its members and the broader library community at national, regional, and international levels.
The Association remains guided by the values of fostering an environment that supports the professional development of its members; safeguarding the professional status of library and information workers; enhancing the image and public perception of the association; increasing financial sustainability to support its initiatives; strengthening its administrative infrastructure; influencing national policy related to library and information services, and promoting the delivery of high-quality services and optimal use of library resources.
With a renewed leadership team and a clear strategic direction, LATT is well-positioned to advocate for and support the next generation of library professionals, ensuring the continued growth and relevance of library and information services across Trinidad and Tobago. The new executive thanks the outgoing board led by Dr Beverly Ann Williams for its astute stewardship.
