The media is invited to be at the National Library, Port of Spain, the Chaguanas Public Library, Centre Point Mall and the Carnegie Free Library, San Fernando on Saturday 03 July at 9:00 a.m for the big giveaway of thousands of comic books to patrons.

This is the third annual “Free Comic Book Day” at libraries facilitated by the Genesis Foundation for Literacy. The objective is to introduce as many people as possible to the wonders of reading. The previous years have been extremely successful with both children and adults alike being part of this magnificent event.

The Genesis Foundation for Literacy has joined NALIS in the fight to alleviate the scourge of illiteracy. The Foundation donated thousands of dollars worth of reading material to NALIS over the past few years.

For further information you may contact the Genesis Foundation at 627-8433 or 754-5799 or the Public Relations and Marketing Division of NALIS at 624-4466 ext 2323.
