NALIS currently has 250 UWI Press titles in its eBook service.
The University of the West Indies Press is a not-for-profit scholarly publisher of books in thirteen academic disciplines. It is particularly well known for its work in Caribbean history, Caribbean cultural studies, Caribbean literature, gender studies, education and political science. Founded in 1992, the press has over 350 books in print. Its books are peer-reviewed and approved by an editorial committee composed of local and international scholars.
Guidelines for use:
1. Use of the UWI Press materials is via IP address only, therefore users must be within a NALIS public library or facility to access the full-text documents
2. When you open the UWI Press link go to – Your Books – and you will be taken to the List of Subjects with the EBooks
3. Select a Subject and the List of Titles will appear, select a book and open to begin reading
4. Restrictions: You cannot download the EBooks, save or print
