PROFESSOR KENNY JULIAN HANDS OVER COLLECTION TO NALIS

The media is invited to the official handing over ceremony of Professor Kenny Julian’s collection of historical and scientific images to NALIS on Friday 09 July, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at 1st Floor, National Library of Trinidad and Tobago.

Professor Julian’s collection consists of CDs, negatives, photographs, slides and transparencies. The subject content of the collection spans many topics in the area of freshwater ecology, fish and fisheries biology, marine biology, coral reef ecology just to name a few. Professor Julian collection has photographs of amphibians, caves, bush fires, under water life and scenery, costal areas, the five islands, the first ever aerial photograph taken of Chagaramas, the Fernandes compound in 1955 (before the highway was build), the reforestation of the St. Joseph Savannah, and the Omeara Savannah, which is today the Omeara Industrial Estate.

The collection will be housed at the Heritage Library, 2nd Floor, National Library of Trinidad and Tobago.
