Lower six history students from about 20 schools across the country attended sessions on research techniques hosted by the NALIS’ Port of Spain Young Adult Library and the Tunapuna Public Library. These sessions were conducted by Bridget Brereton, professor of History at the University of the West Indies and also chair of the NALIS Board. Also at the Tunpana Public Library, Herman Dolabaille, examiner with the Caribbean Examination Council (CXC), facilitated sessions on examination techniques for fourth form students. The sessions were part of NALIS’ celebration of World Book and Copyright Day. In March, at various libraries, Secondary Examination Assessment (SEA) students were also provided with examination tips.
