Patricia Zephryine and Annette Wallace were recently appointed Executive Director and Deputy Executive Director, respectively of the National Library and Information System Authority (NALIS).

Zephyrine previously held the position of Deputy Executive Director of NALIS from 1999 to 2004; Deputy Director of Library Services from 1993 to March 1999 and Acting Deputy Director of the Central Library of Trinidad and Tobago from 1990 to 1993. Zephryine has worked in all areas of library services including school, children, and public library services in Trinidad and Tobago and at the London Borough of Southwark Libraries in the UK.

She holds a M. Phil Degree in Information Science from the City University of London, England; a Certificate in Management Studies from the University of the West Indies and an Associate of the Library Associate (ALA) from the Liverpool Polytechnic, England.

Annette Wallace was the former Director of the Public Libraries Division of NALIS and former Librarian IV with responsibility for the South Region libraries. She has represented Trinidad and Tobago at a number of national, regional and international library conferences, delivering papers on services for the visually impaired, children’s literature and disaster preparedness.

Wallace holds a Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) Degree from the University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario, Canada, a Bachelor of Arts from the University of the West Indies and a Certificate in Mass Communications from the School of Continuing Studies, UWI.
