In commemoration of its eighth anniversary, the National Library and Information System Authority’s (NALIS) Preservation and Conservation (PAC) Laboratory will conduct a free webinar titled, Treatment Showcase, on Wednesday July 28, 2021 at 1:00 pm via its YouTube Channel.
Treatment Showcase will feature the behind the-scenes look at interesting bindery repairs and conservation treatment conducted by the PAC Lab over its eight years of its existence, all intended to prolong the life of precious materials such as corporate and personal documents, books, photos and family heirlooms. The NALIS PAC Laboratory, launched on July 8, 2013, works toward extending the existence of library and paper-based collections by fighting against decay and destruction. The PAC Laboratory has preserved thousands of books and paper-based documents since its establishment and has conducted numerous public workshops.
