The National Library Building, like other establishments/buildings in the city of Port of Spain, is affected by cockroaches. Approximately four weeks ago, NALIS engaged a pest control company to treat the National Library Building. The entire building was totally shut down for two days to ensure full effectiveness of the treatment. As part of the ongoing pest control management, further action has been initiated.
Since the discovery of small cockroaches in the isolated areas of one of the ground floor washrooms, the area has been cordoned off and patrons have been redirected to the other washrooms in the building as we aggressively treat with this problem.
NALIS is committed to ensuring a safe and healthy facility for its staff and patrons.
