The nomenclature of a National Library is always a matter of great public debate. Over the past few days, much public attention and discussion surrounded the naming of our new library facility, which will be officially opened before the end of this year.
The National Library and Information System Authority (NALIS) wishes to advise that at no time was a Cabinet decision made on the naming of the New National Library.
NALIS, is of course, duly proud of this state of the art, modern information resource centre, the first of its kind in the region. When opened it will redefine the National Library Service and open a whole new world of knowledge and learning.
We wish to take this opportunity to thank the public for their overwhelming support of this resource and the keen interest displayed in the nation’s new library facility.
