CARENGIE FREE LENDING LIBRARY AND COUVA PUBLIC LIBRARY RELOCATED

The National Library and Information System Authority (NALIS) is pleased to advise that the Carnegie Free Lending Library has been relocated to the corner of Prince of Wales and Coffee Streets, San Fernando, and the Couva Public Library has been relocated to Grant Street Extension, Couva.

These libraries will offer modern library and information services to meet the needs of their respective communities and will play a pivotal role in supporting the Government’s initiatives for rural development and education.

On the ground floor of the Carnegie Free Lending Library patrons will find a spacious Young Adult/Adult section with materials to meet patrons’ information and leisure needs.  The second floor houses the Children’s reading and recreational spaces.

The relocated Couva Public Library occupies a brand new purpose-built facility with designated dynamic and innovative spaces for Young Adults, Adults and Children; a computer room, an exhibition and social area, conference facilities and parking facilities.
