CARNEGIE FREE LENDING LIBRARY REOPENS AT NEW LOCATION

NALIS is pleased to advise the public that its Carnegie Free Library Lending Services has been relocated to Prince of Wales and Coffee Streets, San Fernando.

Patrons can enjoy a more spacious library facility with designated spaces for children, young adults and adults. At the library, persons of all ages can become computer literate, obtain information for your recreational, business or educational needs; develop good reading habits; participate in book discussions, clubs and other activities; access CDs, DVDs, audio books and a wide range of fiction and non-fiction materials; access free internet access at the library’s computers as well as free wifi.

Online research databases are accessible within and outside the library via the NALIS website. Additionally, registered patrons can obtain 24/7 access to e-Books via the NALIS website. For the visually challenged, services are available in traditional large print, Braille, audio formats and recorded books talking books and through assistive, computerised technology available via the JAWS (Job Access With Speech) voice synthesizer.

Services are available Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm and on Saturday from 8:30 am to 4:00pm. Please be advised the Carnegie Free Reference Library located upstairs La Pique Plaza is also open to serve you. Restorative works will begin on the iconic Carnegie Free Library Building located at Harris Promenade, San Fernando.
