The media is invited to attend launch of Reverend, Teacher Hazel Ann Gibbs De Peza’s book “My Faith-Spirited Baptist Christian” to be held at the National Library on Saturday 17 November, 2007 at 6:00 pm.

The book, “My Faith-Spirited Baptist Christian” provides an engrossing account of the history, struggle and growth of the Spiritual Baptist Church in Trinidad and Tobago. It seeks to encourage discourse on the often misunderstood and maligned religious community. It brings to the fore some national and research-based information in order to counter long held misconceptions about the nature of the sect.

Hazel Ann Gibbs De Peza brings sensitivities, profound faith and balance to the story of the community which has traditionally been marginalized in law and custom.
