The media is invited to cover the launch of NALIS’ exhibition: 200 Years of Chinese Presence in Trinidad and Tobago on Thursday 5th October, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at the Audio Visual Room, National Library, Port of Spain. The exhibition is being mounted in recognition of the bicentenary of the arrival of Chinese in Trinidad and Tobago.
This exhibition will feature artifacts, photographs and an historical account of the Chinese arrival in Trinidad. Dr. David Picou, Chairman of the Chinese Bicentennial Committee will declare the exhibition open and Dr. Walton Look Lai will deliver the feature, “200 Years of Chinese Presence in Trinidad and Tobago”.
The public is invited to view the exhibition, which will remain in the Atrium of the National Library for the remainder of the month of October.
