NALIS and Divas Calypso Cabaret Incorporation invite the media to a workshop entitled, “Women in Calypso” on Friday 22 October 2004, National Library, from 9:00 a.m. to 12 Noon. This is part of NALIS’ celebration of Calypso History Month.

Alvin Daniell, facilitator of the workshop, will discuss women in calypso from an historical perspective. Practitioners in the field are expected to speak of their involvement in the art. They will also discuss the issue of HIV AIDS in their calypsoes.
