NALIS OFFERS LENDING SERVICES ONLY DUE TO COVID-19

On Friday March 13, 2020, the Prime Minister, Dr the Honourable Keith Rowley announced that effective tomorrow, all places of learning, inclusive of schools and universities will remain closed for one week, in the first instance.

In light of the Prime Minister’s announcement, NALIS has taken the decision to restrict its services to the lending of library materials only. All other services have been suspended for the period.

This means that from tomorrow and continuing for one week, persons can borrow and return books and DVDs at public libraries. However, reading, study spaces and computer services will remain inaccessible. Additionally, persons will not be allowed to congregate.

Please note that NALIS will also continue to provide free online resources for reference and research and e-books via: www.nalis.gov.tt. You are invited to visit our website and follow us on Facebook and Twitter at @NALISTT for updates regarding COVID-19 and to learn about the resumption of additional library services.
