  • THE NEW MILLENIUM SCHOOL LIBRARY MEDIA CENTRE

    The emergence of the new millennium School Library Media Centre (SLMC) in all secondary schools in Trinidad and Tobago was the result of a significant partnership between NALIS’ School Libraries Services Unit and the Ministry of Education Secondary Education Modernization Programme (SEMP).

    The School Library Services Unit, currently located at #73 Ramsaran Street, Chaguanas,was first set up in 1978 to promote and coordinate the development of the libraries in sixth form schools. Over the years, this mandate was expanded to include a service to all secondary schools..
