 LOGO RATIONALE

Text/HTML

This logo is symbolic of information on the move - progressing from the traditional Book Form to the present and futuristic Info Tech, which is arising as a world of its own and literally from the ‘Pages of the Past’.

The open book allows out the New World, to float in defiance of gravity, held up by its own strength.

NALIS is the repository of information for Trinidad and Tobago. Therefore the font-style is used to show this with its solid sense of power, exuding a capacity to be host to everything.

Trinidad and Tobago and the National Library and Information System Authority both must stand in an age where the fast pace of information needs to be wisely and firmly managed.

The logo presents an added dimension of strength and national fervour. These elements are incorporated through use of the national colours, reflecting the Reliability and Energy of the people of Trinidad and Tobago.

The NALIS logo and stationery were designed by ALL Media Projects Limited (AMPLE) in 2000. That same year, the agency won Advertising Agency Association of Trinidad and Tobago's Creative Excellence Award for the Best Below the Line Media.

Unauthorized persons or entities must seek permission to use the NALIS logo. Contact the Public Relations and Marketing Department at 624-4466 exts. 2323, 2324, 2317, 2327.
