He is reputed to be fearless in the face of a new challenge, and he is considered a true cultural gem of South Trinidad.

His interest in the arts first manifested itself as a passion for dance. He was a foundation member and artistic director of the Arawak Dance Company, who in later years represented Trinidad in countless cultural missions to North and South America, the UK and several islands in the Caribbean.

From there he went on to acting and also gained accolades for his talents as a thespian. Among his many performances he recalls parts in Macbeth, Bishop Candlestick, Man Better Man.

As a member of the San Fernando Arts Council, the National Dance Association and a member of the Naparima Bowl Board, Mohammed also ensured that he made a contribution to the arts off stage.

He was also hailed for his efforts as a member of the San Fernando Borough Council.

Mohammed is also the Managing Director of TIMCO Insurance Service.

A father of three, Mohammed was awarded a Medal of Merit for his contribution to the arts.
