Mr. Mark Mohammed
is the incumbent Director of Public
Prosecutions having been appointed to the post in 1998.
Mr. Mohammed was born on April 21, 1963.
He obtained his LLB with Second Class honours at the Hugh Wooding Law
School and was admitted to practice at the Bar in1986.
He worked at the Ministry of Legal Affairs as State Counsel before
his appointment as DPP and was appointed Senior Counsel in 2000.
Mr.
Mohammed is married and has two children.
His interests are reading, astronomy, music and Latin dancing and is
a member of the Astronomical Organisation.
