Justice
George Edoo was appointed
to the post of Ombudsman on February 15, 1991
for a three-year term which was renewed on February 15, 1994 and February
15, 1997.
Justice
Edoo has had a long and distinguished career in the Legal service having served
as Assistant Registrar, Deputy Registrar and Registrar of the Supreme Court
from 1963 to 1978. After being in
private practice for two years, Mr Edoo was appointed as a Judge of the High
Court in 1980 and was subsequently appointed as a Justice of Appeal in 1986
which position he held until 1991.
