The Commonwealth Games is third in line in the Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee's list of four major games covering the Olympic cycle. That list begins with the CAC Games at which many high and mid-level athletes are sent, then the Pan Am Games at which the CAC medallists are given some preference; and finally, the Commonwealth Games at which higher qualifying and performance standards are required. After this only the elite are chosen for the Olympics on the basis of consistent high-level performances throughout the cycle. Following is this country's list of medal achievers at the Commonwealth Games:
