Dookheran said that the book is intended for anyone who is interested in pursuing a career in the field of information technology as well as for business professionals, consultants, students and persons dedicated to making the computer a revolutionary tool for improving their quality of life.

The author explained that though most computer texts focus on the software and hardware, The Other Side of the Computer bring new focus, holistically on the role information technology plays in organisations.

The evening’s programme was dedicated to Dookheran’s former colleague, the late Malcolm Daniel for his contribution to information technology.
