If you were exposed to the teaching of Spanish, learned how to converse in the language but do not have the opportunity to do so, Club de Español is for you!
Club de Español, a joint initiative of the embassies of Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Spain and NALIS was launched on September 13 with its main objective to promote the use of Spanish in Trinidad and Tobago.
Club de Español is free and open to everyone. Continuing every Wednesday until November 8, sessions will be held at the 1st Floor Seminar Room at the Port of Spain facility from 5:00 to 6:00 pm. Sessions, which will be conducted by ambassadors and other embassy personnel, will provide interesting cultural information as well as showcase videos on relevant aspects of various participating countries.
Through the Embassy of Spain’s Facebook page, participants will be kept informed and will be provided with tools (schools, online methods and other forums) to improve their Spanish. The Facebook page will also provide information about scholarships.
In addition, editorial competitions will be hosted in Spanish and the person deemed most original will be rewarded.
