LIBRARIES CELEBRATE EASTER, PROMOTE READING AT CHILDREN'S EASTER VACATION CAMPS

Children across the country attended Easter vacation camps hosted at Nalis’ Tunapuna, Maloney, Mayaro, St. Helena, Moruga and Princes Town Public Libraries. The camps, which were held from April 10 to 13, were attended by children between the ages five to 12 years old.

Camp activities focused on promoting the reading habit and engaging children in fun, wholesome activities.  Over the period, children participated in storytelling sessions, Easter egg arts and crafts sessions and games. Staff said that each camp was a success and certainly the highlight for the children before they return to school after the vacation.

For more information on this and upcoming events at the public libraries, please call or visit local libraries. A list of the libraries and their contact information can be found at Nalis’ website. The public is also invited to contact the Public Relations and Marketing Department located at the National Library of Trinidad and Tobago at Hart and Abercromby streets, Port of Spain- telephone: 624-4466 ext. 2323/2324.
