PIDU is currently (from August 1994) operated by the Documentation Centre of NIHERST at 155-157 Tragarete Road, Block B, 1st Floor, Port of Spain (Tel: 622-2267/5891) and offers patent-based technological information services to business persons, commercial enterprises, entrepreneurs, decision makers, inventors, R & D staff, and financial institutions among others.

There is presently no charge for services received from CIPO and WIPO. However, local direct costs, such as charges for photocopying and telefax, are recoverable and will have to be met when incurred.
